BACOLOD City – The body of a male teenager who went missing after he drowned in a river was retrieved by authorities at Purok Solidad, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental last Friday.
Police withheld the name of the 17-year-old victim of Hinigaran town.
The victim went to Binalbagan town after he was invited by some friends to go swimming in celebration of the Feast of San Juan last Thursday. His body was then found in a river on Friday night.
The victim was believed to have experienced cramps and drowned due to the strong river current, according to the police.
ELECTROCUTED
A man died after he was electrocuted inside a cock farm at Sitio Bunga, Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City last Friday.
Police identified the victim as Ranilo De Jesus, 35, of Barangay Hilamonan.
Based on the police investigation, De Jesus was believed to have touched the electrical line placed inside the farm. He was found lying on a corrugated steel bar.
The victim was believed to be a thief, as police recovered from him a knife, sack, and a motorcycle.
