ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The missing fisherman from Kalibo, Aklan was found dead Monday.
Ricky Peralta, 57, a boat captain from Brgy. Bachaw Norte Kalibo, Aklan was found around 11:40 am by a fisherman in the waters between Aklan and Capiz.
Peralta was with his two crewmembers Gerald Retos, 39, also of Brgy. Bachaw Norte and Leo Arillas of Brgy. Bachaw Sur also in Kalibo when their fishing boat accidentally collided with another fishing vessel Friday midnight.
Retos and Arillas were rescued.
According to Retos, they were on their way to Olotayan Island when a bigger fishing vessel hit them, causing their boat to capsize.
Retos and Arillas were fortunately rescued by other fisherfolks from other boats but Peralta went missing.
