Miss Iloilo beauty queens ready to conquer national stage

Iloilo’s finest, endowed with heartfelt beauty, are poised to grace the national stage as Miss Iloilo organization proudly unveiled the beauty queens who will represent the province in their respective national pageants.

The announcement took place during a sashing ceremony on January 21, 2024 at SM City Iloilo.

Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks, crowned Miss Iloilo 2024 after besting 14 other candidates during the coronation night on January 13, will carry the banner of Iloilo City in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines competition this year.

She will be a voice for humanitarian issues and a catalyst for positive change.

Four other women were crowned alongside Brooks:

-Miss Iloilo Binibini 2024 Nicklyn Jutay of Tigbauan, who will be the ambassadress for women empowerment, nation building, and spreading peace and love across the nation. She will carry her qualities as an empowered Ilongga and her contributions as a true Filipina representing Iloilo City.

-Miss Iloilo Paraw Regatta 2024 (Miss Earth Iloilo) Shaima Al Yansuri of Guimbal. Following the title, she will be advocating environmental conservation and protection to showcase Iloilo’s eco-friendly initiatives and sustainable practices on the national stage.

-Miss Philippines Iloilo City 2024 Raniella Louise Aguila of Cabatuan. She will serve as a Philippine culture ambassadress, celebrating Filipino homegrown talents, artistry, and masterpieces that have emerged in Iloilo. She will carry her Ilonggo spirit to the national stage for the city.

-Miss Iloilo Queen of Dinagyang 2024 (Reyna ng Aliwan Iloilo) Angel Jed Latorre of Santa Barbara will serve as the Ilonggo Culture ambassadress, promoting the Dinagyang Festival and overall tourism in Iloilo by presenting the Dinagyang Festival in Aliwan Fiesta’s 2024.

-Pearl Angel Franco from Ajuy and Hamda Judicpa of San Miguel were named Miss Iloilo Ambassadress of Heartfelt Beauty. They will be the key representatives of the Miss Iloilo organization, serving as the official spokespersons, engaging with the community, attending events, and collaborating with organizations as positive role models. They will also foster educational campaigns and continuously develop personal skills to uphold the organization’s values while making a positive impact on the community.

But an update from the Miss Iloilo organization revealed that Miss Iloilo Heartfelt Beauty Hamda Judicpa will not be participating in any national pageant this year due to eligibility concerns.

The organization said Judicpa has agreed to reserve her representation for the following year.

Meanwhile, the city of Iloilo is abuzz with excitement as the accomplished representatives, during a short Q&A portion after the ceremony, expressed their readiness and enthusiasm to conquer the national stage.

They are gearing up to showcase not only their beauty, intelligence, and advocacy but also to bring pride to the region as they embark on this remarkable journey.
