Minor survives after truck rams Mambusao house

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A minor survived after the house where he was staying was rammed by a wing van Saturday morning, Sept. 26, in Barangay Bula, Mambusao, Capiz.
An investigation by the Mambusao Municipal Police Station showed that a wing van from Ibajay, Aklan, was towing another wing van driven by alias “Joe,” 53, a resident of Calumpang, Iloilo, after the latter developed mechanical trouble along the national highway.
While the driver and his helper were trying to repair the disabled vehicle, the wing van being towed suddenly moved and rammed a nearby house where the minor was inside.
Police and personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection in Mambusao immediately responded and rescued the minor from the damaged house.
The minor and the truck driver were brought to Mambusao District Hospital for treatment of bruises sustained in the incident.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
