BACOLOD City – A man was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by a male minor at Sitio Hinagupitan, Barangay Dian-ay, Escalante City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday night.
Police identified the victim as Arnel Ayo, 20, of the said village.
Police Major Gil Despi, city police chief, said that the victim and the 17-year-old suspect, whose name was withheld, were having a drinking session when a misunderstanding ensued between them.
Despi said that the suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a bladed weapon and stabbed him several times.
Ayo sustained multiple stab wounds and was rushed to a hospital. Despi said he is in stable condition.
Despi said the suspect is still at large. Police did not recover the bladed weapon used in the crime.
He said they will check if both of them had grudges against each other which triggered the incident.
