Minor killed, another injured in Capiz crash

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 17-year-old boy was killed and another was injured after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a rock placed along the roadside Saturday night, Aug. 2, in Barangay Tanza Norte, Panay, Capiz.
Police identified the fatality as alias “Christian” of Barangay Jaena Norte, Jamindan, who was driving the motorcycle.
His back rider was identified as alias “Jay.”
According to reports from the Panay Municipal Police Station, the victims were on their way from Panay town to Roxas City when the driver lost control of the motorcycle and struck a rock.
The Panay Emergency Response Team rushed to the scene and brought the victims to a hospital in Roxas City.
The driver was declared dead on arrival due to fatal head injuries and other trauma.
The back rider sustained injuries and remains under treatment at the same hospital.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
