After Ryan Garcia, another boxer claimed there will be a showdown between him and Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio this coming May.
Mikey Garcia, one of the top welterweights in boxing, broke his silence and confirmed that there is an ongoing negotiation between him and Pacquiao’s camp for a potential mega-fight.
“We’re finalizing all the details, but we hope to get the date exact in the next few days, get an exact date, location, and everything,” Garcia shared.
Reports came out that the highly-anticipated clash between Pacquiao and top welterweight dog Terence Crawford is no longer a go after Bob Arum wasn’t able to secure the $50 million cash to be split between the two, Pacquaio $40 million and Crawford $10 million.
The brother of world-renowned boxing trainer Robert Garcia, Mikey is aiming to solidify his legacy with a huge fight against Pacman.
“We’re trying to get everything done for May. It’s been in the works for a long time for the last few years, but particularly more details in the last year right before COVID happened,” added Garcia.
