ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A native of Metro Manila was arrested Monday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Culasi here.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office nabbed Jeyem Mendoza, 23, a native of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila but temporarily residing at Brgy. Punta Tabuc here.
Recovered from Mendoza were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu; P2,000 marked money; a cellphone; and P1,500 boodle or fake money.
The suspect is presently detained at Roxas City Police Station while charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being readied against him.
Meanwhile, the Roxas City police arrested Anthony Dignomo, 42, of Barangay XI Roxas City for the crime of rape in Criminal Case No. C-284-19 C-285-19 with no bail recommended.
The suspect is presently detained at the Roxas City police station.
