ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An auto mechanic was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation Sunday afternoon at Poblacion Ilawod in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Pontevedra Municipal Police Station nabbed Lyndon Tibayan, 24, of Brgy. V, Roxas City.
Recovered from Tibayan were nine sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.
The suspect was charged Monday morning before the Provincial Prosecutors Office for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002). He is detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a laborer wanted for the crime of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide was arrested Saturday afternoon last week at Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.
Christian Gardose, 33, of said place did not resist when police served the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Gonzalo S. Espa of the 3rd Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Sara-Ajuy-Lemery on June 6, 2014.
Gardose is presently detained at the Tapaz police station.
