Mechanic killed in road mishap

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A mechanic died after the motorcycle he was riding accidentally hit a street light Saturday evening, July 31, in Brgy. Switch, Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Jhan Wenold Parcellano, 20, and resident of Poblacion, Bingawan, Iloilo.
Investigation by the Tapaz Municipal Police Station indicated that Parcellano was driving his motorcycle with his back rider identified as Rafil Casa, 23, businessman and resident of Brgy. Switch, Tapaz, Capiz.
The duo was on their way from Tapaz to Bingawan, Iloilo when the motorcycle crashed into a street lamppost.
Parcellano succumbed to fatal head injuries in the head and other parts of his body. He was declared dead at Tapaz District Hospital.
Police have yet to establish the status of Casa who is presently in the said hospital.
Parcellano was allegedly drunk when the accident happened.
