A motorcycle mechanic was arrested in Bingawan, Iloilo, after being accused of raping his teenage daughter.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Panoy,” 40, a resident of Bingawan, was arrested at about 10:13 a.m. on Jan. 13 in Barangay Poblacion.
Personnel of the Bingawan Municipal Police Station served the arrest warrant for four counts of qualified rape of a minor under Criminal Case Nos. 25-2871, 25-2872, 25-2873, and 25-2874.
Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, issued the warrant on Jan. 7, 2026.
The court did not recommend bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Lt. Philip Girao, Bingawan police chief, said the suspect is the municipality’s top most wanted person.
Police said the alleged rape occurred in October 2025, when the victim was 15 years old.
The suspect is currently detained and will be turned over to the court concerned for further legal proceedings.
