ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 37-year-old meat vendor was arrested Friday afternoon of last week for allegedly selling illegal drugs to police assets.
The drug buy-bust operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Capiz (PDEA-Capiz) and Mambusao PNP against Nino Anthony Victoriano of Barangay Atiplo, Mambusao, Capiz.
Recovered from Victoriano were three sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, a cellphone, and a motorcycle.
Police estimated the total weight of the seized illegal substance at 5 grams with street value of P40,800.
Victoriano is a drug surrenderer in 2016 and a High Value Target of the PDEA-Capiz under the Nepumoceno Drug Group.
Charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspect who is presently detained at the Mambusao Municipal Police Station.
