ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The city government on March 12, 2020 ordered the closure of a KTV bar on Arellano Street here after it was found operating without occupancy and business permits.
Worse, the KTV bar was recently raided by police for using the establishment as a front for prostitution. Three women, including two minors, were rescued in the operation.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas ordered the City Licensing Division to padlock the bar because of its alleged illegal activities.
City Councilor Moreno Gonzaga said he will bring the issue of illegal operations of the KTV bar to the Sanggunian Panlungsod’s session.
Gonzaga said he will ask the cooperation of the City Health Office, Business Permit and Licensing Office and other government agencies to look into the problem.
