ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The local government unit of Tapaz, Capiz has recognized 15 barangays that were recently declared “drug-cleared.”
Led by Mayor Roberto Palomar, the recognition ceremony was held July 16, 2021 at the Training Hall of Tapaz Government Center.
The “drug-cleared” barangays were Candelaria, Initan, Lagdungan, Roxas, Malitbog, San Antonio, Switch, Salong, San Julian, Wright, Daan Banwa, Cristina, Poblacion and Taft.
The recognition was also attended by Liga ng mga Barangay President Roy Palomar and Police Staff Sgt. Devie Onato.
Palomar said that the awarding ceremony was an indication that the town of Tapaz is nearing to become a “Drug-Cleared Municipality.”
Tapaz, a first-class municipality in the province of Capiz, is composed of 58 barangays.
