BACOLOD City – Mayor Evelio Leonardia on Sept 8, 2019 that this year’s MassKara Festival of Bacolod celebration will be a festival like no other.
“The MassKara Festival is already a milestone” Leonardia.
The theme for the 40th MassKara Festival is “Bacolod, City of Smiles” and will officially start on Oct 8 until Oct 27.
Leonardia said President Duterte will again be invited to this year’s MassKara festival.
“That in itself is already something we can be proud of,” he said
Silver MassKara Festival Organization Director Eli Tajanlangi said this year’s preparation started early considering it is a Ruby year celebration.
The highlights include the MassKara Queen, Electric MassKara, and the MassKara street dancing competition.
The festival venues are the Bacolod Government Center the Lacson Tourism Strip and the city public plaza.
Other events are planned to be held at the Vendors’ Plaza and at the old city hall.
