BACOLOD City – A male teenager was arrested after police discovered fully grown suspected marijuana plants at Purok Maghiropay, Barangay Taba-ao, Sagay City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
The suspect was identified by police as Mark Gerald Maru, 19, of the said village.
His companion Marcelino Maru was able to escape.
According to the police, they received information from concerned residents about the said marijuana plants in the area near the house of the arrested suspect.
Upon the discovery of it, police then uprooted the four fully grown suspected marijuana plants.
Authorities also confiscated seven stems with roots of (dried) suspected marijuana, and some fallen dried leaves of suspected marijuna worth P1,000.
Drug charges are being readied against the arrested suspect.
