ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Former senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas III praised Capiz 1st district Rep. Emmanuel “Tawi” Billones Sr. for bringing in P4.5 billion worth of infrastructure projects to the province in the past six years.
This was the basis for Roxas’s endorsement of Billones’s reelection bid in May 2022 under the Liberal Party.
Roxas cited the projects Billones initiated in the province such as roads and P2 billion worth of social services such as medical assistance and scholarships amid the pandemic.
“Para sa akon ang trabaho sang isa ka congressman amo ang mangita sang pondo sa nasyonal para sa kinahanglanon sang probinsiya, ang pamangkot nahimo ayhan ini ni Billones? Klaro ang akon sabat, Yes! With flying colors, check mark, ” Roxas said.
Roxas said the projects will help Capiz recover once the COVID-19 pandemic wanes.
In a statement, Billones said he is honored by Roxas’s endorsement saying it is proof of the latter’s confidence in him to lead and take care of Capiz.
