Despite an unclear fight future for the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao has been putting in the work and is currently doing light endurance training in General Santos City.
Pacquiao has been in the gym together with his long-time trainers Buboy Fernandez and Nonoy Neri, doing their programmed drills.
Boxing’s living legend is probably preparing for a big fight initially planned by Top Rank promotions and head honcho Bob Arum slated on June 5, 2021.
Arum recently confirmed that the Pacquiao-Terence Crawford fight is a near done deal and will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
It was confirmed that Pacquiao already started his light training workouts since last February in what might be his last hoorah in the boxing ring.
Neri was the first to supervise Pacquiao’s training and handled him on his jogging pace, the heavy bags, and the mitts.
Meanwhile, Fernandez already came in late as he still fulfilled his duties as vice mayor of Polangui, Albay.
“He’s still fast and strong. And he will become even stronger and faster as training progresses. “It’s a good matchup and we have to prepare hard for this. The Senator must be in optimum form against Crawford,” said Neri.
