Philippine MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) gets a boost as Manila hosts the 8th Global Symposium of Jay’s Club International Logistics Organization (JCiLO) at Hilton Manila from May 28 to 31, 2025.
Led by CEO and Global President Jay Linayagamage of Sri Lanka, JCiLO is a global alliance of freight forwarding companies, logistics specialists and affiliated businesses.
More than 70 local and international delegates are expected to attend the symposium, which will cover recent innovations in logistics and freight forwarding, trends in quality control and supply chain management, among other topics.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco will deliver the welcome remarks on May 29, while Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon will speak at the Gala Night on May 31 at Casa Buenas, Hotel Okura.
This marks the first time the Philippines is hosting the annual event, made possible by Grandlink Freight International, a 26-year-old freight forwarding company and the only JCiLO member from the country.
Myra Kierulf-Roldan, president of event organizer Merck-MLI Travel and Tours, said the symposium will also feature a pre-conference Hop-On, Hop-Off Manila heritage tour and a post-conference tour of Subic on June 1.
Delegates of the 8th Global Symposium are eager to experience Filipino hospitality under the slogan “MICE Philippines: We take your business to heart.”
