Manhunt launched vs shooting suspect

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police here launched a manhunt operation against a man who shot dead a 35-year-old person Sunday morning, July 14, at Sitio Pagutok Brgy. Milibili here.
Victim Alfie Abanco suffered fatal gunshot wounds in different parts of his body allegedly inflicted by George Albaran, 44, of Sitio Pamungbongan also in barangay Milibili
Police investigation indicated Abanco was about to buy fish in a makeshift market along the road when Albaran arrived. A heated argument ensued between the suspect and the victim regarding past grudges.
The suspect suddenly drew a .45-caliber pistol from his waist and shot the victim several times.
Abanco managed to stand up and flee but the suspect followed him to a rice field and again shot the victim.
The victim was brought to the hospital but the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
The suspect immediately fled and remains at-large.
