BACOLOD City – More or less 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P204,000 were seized from an alleged high value target drug personality in a buy-bust at Barangay Bagtic, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Aug 5, 2019.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental, PDEA-6, and Silay City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Jaime Gucio, 23, of Barangay 1.
Based on a police report, Gucio is an alleged member of a drug group in the city.
Recovered from him were two sachets of suspected shabu, the P100 marked money, and P5,000 boodle money.
Gucio will face charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (illegal possession of dangerous drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Edgardo Yu Jr., 39, of Barangay Vito Sagay City was arrested in a drug bust at Barangay 2 Poblacion yesterday.
Police confiscated from Yu five sachets of suspected shabu, and the P500 marked money.
Yu, a high value target, was previously arrested for the same offense in 2014 but he was released in May this year due to plea bargaining, police records showed.
However, he continued his illegal drug activity, and was included in the drugs watch list of the city police station.
