From a simple complaint of alarm and scandal, a 42-year-old man will face a graver charge after he yielded suspected illegal drugs.
George Dariagan, a resident of Barangay Cochero, Molo, Iloilo, was initially arrested after he went rowdy at the house of his former live-in partner in Barangay Hipodromo, City Proper district around 7:30 p.m. of June 1.
Celeste Yanson, 33, reported his former lover to village officials after he allegedly went wild.
Yanson’s fear heightened after Dariagan tried to hand her the illegal drugs.
Responding village watchmen subdued the suspect and frisked him for deadly weapons.
The watchmen later recovered a sachet of suspected shabu that was wrapped in a piece of aluminum foil and paper.
Dariagan was immediately turned over to Iloilo City Police Station.
Aside from alarm and scandal, he will also face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
