BACOLOD City – A man who allegedly created alarm and scandal was hacked to death at Barangay Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police have yet to identify the victim.
Based on the police investigation, the victim was reportedly drunk when he suddenly went to the house of the suspect identified as Jessie Omata Sr, 55.
The suspect tried to pacify the victim but he was allegedly hit by rattan strips, prompting Omata to retaliate by allegedly hacking the latter.
The victim suffered hack wounds in the left side of his neck. He was brought to Cauayan District Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Omata was arrested by police.
