Man wanted for child abuse arrested

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man wanted for child abuse was arrested Tuesday afternoon, August 6, in Barangay Lawaan here.

Alias Bobby, 40, of Barangay Manayupit Maayon, Capiz, was arrested by Maayon police for violating Republic Act 9262, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004, while at the house of a relative in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Acting Presiding Judge Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14, Roxas City, Capiz, on July 10, 2024.

The court recommended a bail of ₱72,000 for his temporary liberty.

The suspect was remitted to the Capiz Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Lawaan for proper disposition.
