BACOLOD City – An alleged drug personality was gunned down by an unidentified person in front of a computer shop at Purok Kawayan, Barangay Banago here early Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Jerol Marcellana, 28, of the said village.
Police Captain Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said the victim was sitting in the alley when the gunman approached and shot him with an unknown firearm.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
Vargas said the gunman was reported to have an alleged companion while escaping.
Vargas said they are looking into grudges or drug-related as possible motives in the incident.
Vargas said that Marcellana was an alleged newly-identified drug personality.
She said they will check a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera that captured the perpetrators fleeing from the scene.
The shooting happened two days after the same incident occurred in Barangay 2 here that wounded two persons last Monday.
