Man stabs self after killing wife

BACOLOD City – A man stabbed himself after he killed his wife at their house in Hacienda Basa, Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental Thursday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Noemi Biote, 40. Her husband and suspect Henry, 53, was wounded.

Police investigation indicated that the couple had a heated argument as Noemi wanted to leave Henry.

Henry attacked his wife with a bladed weapon and the victim died on the spot.

Henry then stabbed himself on the abdomen. He was rushed to a hospital and underwent surgery.

Police recovered from the scene a 17-inch bladed weapon.

Police said jealousy triggered the suspect to commit the crime after he alleged that his wife was having an affair with another man.
