A 34-year-old street vendor survived a knife attack early evening of June 15 in Molo, Iloilo City.
John Balmetero, a resident of Zone 5, Barangay Boulevard, Molo, suffered seven stab injuries on the different parts of his body.
The victim was walking to a store to buy cigarettes when he met the suspect, 26-year-old Limuel Nietes, also a resident of the place.
The two allegedly quarreled until Nietes drew a knife and stabbed Balmetero.
The suspect fled while the victim was rushed to Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital.
Police Major Engilbert Banquillo, Molo police chief, said the two had bad blood against each other over previous disagreements.
Balmetero is in stable condition while Nietes remains at large as of this writing.
