BACOLOD City – Grudges allegedly triggered a man to kill his cousin at Hacienda Siason, Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Neil Escasinas, 24, of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City.
Major Bonifacio Aral Jr., San Enrique town police chief, said Escasinas was walking home when he was reportedly waylaid by the suspect identified as Bryan Escasinas, 28, of Barangay Tabugon.
Aral said that Bryan allegedly stabbed Neil in his chest that caused his death.
Aral said the victim and the suspect had a previous misunderstanding.
“May personal sila nga away, nag dumot gid siya (suspect) siguro sa pakaisa niya,” he added.
Aral said the suspect is still at large.
He said they are waiting for the decision of the victim’s family on the filing of charges against their relative.
