Man shot dead in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man tagged as a “police character” was shot dead early Sunday morning, June 23, in Barangay Dayao, Roxas City.
The police identified the victim as Sandy Dela Cruz Silverio, 50, of Purok 3, Barangay Libas.
Silverio was found dead by a fish broker lying on the gutter of the bridge on the circumferential road in Barangay Dayao.
Police records show that the victim was formerly arrested for illegal drug trade and was also involved in the illegal possession of a firearm.
The victim was released from police detention due to legal matters.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the incident and working to arrest the suspects.
