ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 47-year-old farmer was shot dead by unidentified suspects Tuesday at Barangay Bayuyan, President Roxas, Capiz.
The victim was Renjon Villa, 47, of Barangay Manoling.
Villa was going home on a motorcycle when the suspects suddenly appeared and shot him.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police recovered from the crime scene two empty shells of .45-caliber ammunition.
Meanwhile, a senior citizen died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck Tuesday morning at Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Cuartero.
Police identified the victim as Romeo Mayuga, 67, of Barangay Malagab-i, Cuartero.
Based on the investigation of Cuatero Municipal Police Station, Mayuga was driving a motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Hilux driven by Aurelio Galorio, 48, of Barangay Balabag, Pavia Iloilo.
The victim died at Dao District Hospital while Galorio was apprehended and detained at the Cuartero Municipal Police Station.
