BACOLOD City – A man was gunned down by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Barangay Tinago, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental last Monday.
Killed was Alfred Mongcopa Cordova, 41, of the said village, according to the police.
Based on a police report, Cordova was standing near their grocery store reportedly shooting bats with the use of a pellet gun when the perpetrators arrived and repeatedly shot him.
Cordova succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Holy Child Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Colonel Bryant Demot, acting provincial director of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo), said they will investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to the bar of justice.
Demot appealed to the public to cooperate with investigators by giving information that will solve the killing.
