DAO, Capiz – A 21-year-old man was shot dead Sunday afternoon at Brgy. Quinayuya here.
Police identified the victim as Florencio Facto, 21, who was declared dead on arrival at Senator Gerardo Roxas District Hospital also in this town.
The victim died of massive bleeding from the gunshot wounds in his right leg.
Police identified the suspect as Gil Baticbatic who fled after the shooting.
Investigation conducted by the police indicated that Facto passed by the crime scene on a motorcycle when he tried to pacify Baticbatic who was quarrelling with his cousin identified as a certain Leo.
The suspect then drew a handgun and shot the victim.
Baticbatic fled immediately and is now the subject of a manhunt operation.
