Police Lieutenant Ray Cordero, Talisay City deputy police chief, said 55-year-old Ismael Siason of Barangay Cabatangan was walking when he was allegedly shot by Rolly Treveles at the said village.
Cordero said Treveles, along with his helper, had just delivered hollow blocks in the village when he met Siason.
The suspect disembarked from his vehicle and shot the victim with an unknown gun caliber, the deputy police chief added.
Treveles quickly fled.
Police recovered from the scene an ammunition slug.
Cordero said they have yet to establish the motive for the killing.
“We cannot tell if it was because of jealousy,” he added.
