Police identified the fatality as Libert Villanueva, 36, of the said village.
Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 8, said the victim reportedly went to the house of suspect Reynaldo Nobles, 67, and allegedly challenged him to a fistfight.
But Nobles allegedly shot the victim with an improvised shotgun and fled.
The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound and was rushed to a hospital, where he expired the following day.
Gever said Nobles is the live-in partner of the victim’s mother.
Gever said they are eyeing grudges as the motive since the victim reportedly wanted his mother to break up with the suspect.
