ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 58-year-old man died after he was allegedly punched by his “mentally-ill” younger brother Monday afternoon at Barangay Tacas in Pontevedra, Capiz.
Manuel De Asis Sr. of said place was declared dead on arrival at Bailan District Hospital.
Investigation by PSsgt. John Altamia of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station indicated that the younger brother, whose name was withheld, entered Manuel’s house then punched the latter’s abdomen.
Several relatives came in and pacified the two. It was at that moment that the victim complained of chest pain and was immediately taken to the hospital.
The doctor told Manuel’s family that he succumbed to heart attack.
The victim’s brother is presently detained at Pontevedra police station.
