ROXAS CITY, Capiz Police on Thursday evening arrested a man for possessing an unlicensed firearm in his house at Brgy. Candual, Panay, Capiz.
Elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz) nabbed Rogelio Beloria following a raid on his house.
Armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Ignacio Alajar, police recovered from the suspect a homemade 12-gauge shotgun without serial number, two live ammunitions, and an empty shell of the same caliber.
Charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulations Act) are being readied against the suspect who is presently in the custody of the CIDG-Capiz Provincial Field Unit.
