ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man carrying an unlicensed firearm and suspected illegal drugs was arrested Tuesday evening, Jan. 27, in Barangay San Miguel, Dumalag, Capiz.
Police, led by Maj. Cherry Visto, chief of the Dumalag Police Station, identified the suspect as alias “Jomarie,” 40, a resident of the village.
Around 9:40 p.m., police received a report about a man seen walking with a firearm tucked in his waistband.
Responding officers caught the suspect in possession of a homemade .45-caliber pistol with two live rounds, a holster, a sachet of suspected illegal drugs, and PHP 600 in cash.
He is now detained at the Dumalag Police Station for proper disposition.
