BACOLOD City – A man was arrested after he was caught allegedly stealing a jewelry box at Barangay Batea, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental last Sunday.
Police identified the suspect as Rolly Marc Billones, 20, of the said village.
He was cornered by some village watchmen and was turned over to the police for custody.
Police recovered from the suspect a gold necklace worth P5,000, a gold bracelet worth P12,000, and two cellular phones worth P2,200.
The valuables were owned by 55-year-old Diosdado Luceño of Barangay Manta-angan.
Theft charges are being readied against Billones.
