Man nabbed for sexually assaulting teen daughter

A 42-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting his teenage daughter last year.

Alias Niño (real name withheld to protect the victim’s identity) was arrested in Guimbal, Iloilo, late morning of May 3.

Members of Guimbal Municipal Police Station, together with personnel from the 1st Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, collared the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape by sexual assault under Criminal Case No. 3887.

Judge Irene Banzuela-Didulo of the Regional Trial Court 6? Branch 67, Guimbal, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on May 2, 2023.

Bail for his temporary liberty was fixed at P120,000.

Captain Felice Dioso, Guimbal police chief, said the suspect is the topmost wanted person of Guimbal town and the third in Iloilo province.

The suspect is estranged from his wife and the complainant stayed with the latter in another town.

Aside from rape, Dioso said Niño was also facing a theft-related case.

The suspect is now detained.
