Man nabbed for raping ‘bilas’

A 42-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly sexually molested his brother-in-law’s wife.

Jetro Antonio, 33, was arrested at his house in Barangay Magdungao, Passi City, Iloilo morning of August 1.

Members of Passi City Component Police Station and 1st Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company nabbed Antonio for two counts of rape by carnal knowledge docketed as Criminal Case Numbers 23-89480 and 23-89481.

Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 22 in Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on July 25, 2023.

Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Passi City police chief, said the alleged rape happened in 2019 when the complainant was in her early 20s.

The suspect neither admitted nor denied the accusation.
