Man Nabbed for Illegal Gun in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 25-year-old man was arrested for illegal gun possession after he was caught selling an unlicensed firearm during a buy-bust operation on Saturday night, Dec. 7, in Barangay Tiza.
Police identified the suspect as Floro Gadiano II, a resident of Barangay IX in Roxas City.
Authorities recovered a .38 caliber revolver with four live rounds of ammunition from Gadiano, which he allegedly sold for PHP 4,000.
Police said the operation followed a week of monitoring and surveillance.
Gadiano is currently in the custody of Roxas City police. Charges for violating Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him on Monday, Dec. 9.
The arrest occurred as the city celebrated its Sinadya Festival 2024, with several activities taking place across various venues.
