Months after getting out of jail, a suspected drug peddler was again back behind bars.
Shem Haresco, 29, a resident of Barangay Lopez Jaena Norte, La Paz, Iloilo City, was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation at Barangay Caingin, La Paz, afternoon of March 22, 2021.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU, together with personnel from the Iloilo City Police Station 2, conducted the buy-bust 4 p.m. Monday.
Recovered from the suspect were three plastic sachets of suspected shabu and P1,050 buy bust money.
Major Rene Obregon, Jr., ICPO-CDEU chief, said the seized illegal drugs was valued at P40,800.
It was gathered that Haresco was previously arrested in a buy bust operation at Barangay Poblacion, Molo on Sept. 6, 2019, but he was released from incarceration in June 2020.
The suspect is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
