ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 33-year-old man died after he was jointly mauled by three suspects Tuesday evening at Barangay Bun-od, Cuartero Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Juan Espiriano, a resident of said village.
Investigation by the Cuartero Municipal Police Station indicated that suspects Christian Herosa, 19, Edjay Bon Mayo Golviogo, 18, and Neil Espiriano, 19, who are also from Bun-od, beat up Espiriano.
The victim was taken to Dao District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The three suspects were immediately arrested by the police in a follow up operation.
Police said the three suspects were drunk. The motive for the mauling remains unclear.
