BACOLOD City – A man was killed while another was seriously wounded after they figured in a violent feud along with their other relative at Barangay Sicaba, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Killed was Ricky Jude Britania, 41, of the said village while his uncle, Ruperto Britania, 65, was wounded.
Armed with bladed weapons, Ricky and Ruperto, along with the latter’s son Rodel Britania, 37, challenged each other to a fight.
Ricky suffered multiple hack wounds and was declared dead at a hospital, while Ruperto also suffered hack wounds on his left arm and will undergo surgery.
Rodel is still at large.
According to Master Sergeant John Aldrich Lucero, chief investigator of Cadiz City Police Station, the three relatives who are also neighbors always figured in heated arguments about the person who pelted their houses with rocks.
Their frequent arguments turned into grudges against each other which triggered the incident, he said.
