Man in murder charge arrested

A man charged for murder was arrested afternoon of January 21 at Barangay Cubay, Lambunao, Iloilo.

Police identified the suspect as Jonel Clemente, 34, of Barangay Cubay Lambunao, Iloilo.

Members of Lambuano Police Station apprehended the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder in Criminal Case No. 20-0066 issued by Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 76, Janiuay, Iloilo.

No bail was set for his temporary liberty.

Meanwhile, members of Lambuano Police Station had also arrested a 43-year-old man at around 9:00 p.m. of January 20 at Barangay Maite Pequeño, Lambunao.

Jessie Lego, 43, a resident of Barangay Cabatangan, Lambunao, was collared with a caliber .45 Colt pistol (serial number 1015567) with 2 steel magazines and 10 ammunation,

Lego is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
