ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man who is facing a charge for illegal gun possession was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Sunday morning at Brgy. Lawaan here.
The Special Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City police station collared Victorio Tomasa, 58, of Brgy. Lawaan.
Recovered from Tomasa were 4 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 18 grams and valued at P122,000. The operatives also seized the P3,500 marked money.
The suspect was first arrested in December 2022 in an entrapment operation by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz) where an unlicensed .45-caliber pistol was recovered from him.
He was released from detention after posting bail. He will be charged again for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
