BACOLOD City – A man was wounded after he was shot by unidentified perpetrators in Barangay 40 here last Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as John Irish Chiva, 42, of the said village.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound in the forehead and was brought to a hospital.
Police are looking for a copy of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage to determine what really happened.
Police recovered from the scene a caliber .45 ammunition casing.
According to the police, Chiva was arrested for a drug offense in 2018.
