BACOLOD City – A man was injured after a fire razed their house in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), 52-year-old Rodelio Sabornay suffered second-degree burns when he reportedly tried to put out the fire.
Sabornay, his wife, and their three children were at home when the fire occurred.
The family tried to quell the fire and even asked for BFP’s assistance but the blaze quickly razed their house.
Arson investigators said the fire broke out initially due to faulty electrical wiring.
The fire ate up an estimated P120,000 worth of properties.
Sabornay’s family was unharmed.
