BACOLOD City – A woman was hacked to death by her husband inside their house in Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Killed was Alona Hebong, 30.
Police records showed that the victim and her husband Rengie, 33, were having an argument when the victim admitted that their youngest son was not her husband’s child.
Upon hearing the revelation, the suspect, armed with a bolo, attacked the victim several times causing her immediate death.
Police said the couple is residing at Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto town but their house is geographically situated at Barangay Minoyan, Murcia town.
Rengie surrendered to the members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) and was later turned over to the police.
Meanwhile, Rengie, in a media interview, admitted that he got irked and killed his wife after learning of her affair with someone else.
He, however, regretted the crime he committed.
