BACOLOD City – Grudges may have triggered a man to kill his co-worker at Purok 6, Barangay Bulwangan, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Herald Francisco, 51, of the said village.
Maj. John Ganzon, town police chief, said Francisco and the suspect identified as Calixto Pelarin, 67, figured in an argument, which angered the latter.
Pelarin then allegedly attacked Francisco with a bolo, hitting the latter’s head that caused his death.
Prior to the killing, the two already had an altercation about work.
“Basi bala ga isipay sila sa ila obra, naglalisay sila,” Ganzon said.
Homicide charges are being readied by police against the suspect who is detained at Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station.
